General terms and conditions of sale
Minors must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.
The number of guests indicated per accommodation in our rates and on the booking corresponds to the maximum occupancy allowed based on the available facilities. This limit cannot be exceeded for safety and insurance reasons.
Children’s ages are calculated based on their date of birth and the start date of the stay. An official document proving the children’s age may be requested at the beginning of the stay.
Rooms are available to guests from 3:00 PM. In case of late arrival (after 7:00 PM), guests must inform Hôtel Savel. No arrivals are possible after 10:00 PM.
The hotelier reserves the right to refuse service to guests whose attire is indecent or careless, to guests who behave noisily or improperly, or to guests whose behavior is contrary to good morals and public order.
We ask you to respect the premises, plants, and cleanliness of the hotel, and not to touch automatic sprinklers or outdoor lighting. In case of any problem, the guest will be held civilly liable. During your stay, you will be given a key allowing free access to your room; in case of loss, replacement will be charged at the current rate.
Please note that smoking has been prohibited in all public areas since January 2, 2008. Smoking is also strictly forbidden in the rooms for obvious safety and comfort reasons.
Guests are required, if necessary, to follow the instructions, remarks, and requests of the hotel staff or representatives of Hôtel Savel.
Children must be constantly and actively supervised, including on playgrounds. Unaccompanied children are not allowed to visit the park. Access to the river is at each individual’s responsibility, and for children, that of their parents. Swimming is unsupervised and may be prohibited; it is at the guests’ own risk.
For any late departure, an additional night may be charged at the current rate. Payment for all services must be made at the hotel reception upon departure. All services booked or ordered on-site are due.

We welcome dogs, with no specific size limit, only in the independent rooms in the annex. Unfortunately, categorized (restricted breed) dogs are not allowed at this time. Your dogs are allowed in common areas (entrance, restaurant, terrace) if kept on a leash and can run freely in our large park. An extra charge of €15 per dog will apply. This small fee helps cover additional cleaning costs.
Gift vouchers are non-refundable and valid for 1 year. They can be used subject to availability.
- More than 30 days before arrival: deposit refunded minus an administrative fee of €50
- Between 15 and 30 days before arrival: 50% of the deposit refunded
- Less than 15 days before arrival: no refund
- No-show on the scheduled day: deposit is forfeited and the full value of the stay is due to the hotel as a cancellation fee
Any requested change in the number of guests or family composition must be approved by our services at least 7 days before your arrival. Additional charges may apply if necessary.
Any reduction in the length of your stay is considered a partial cancellation and will be subject to the cancellation and interruption policies. Any request to extend your stay will be granted according to availability and current rates.
We recommend subscribing to an insurance policy covering the consequences of certain cancellations and assistance (according to the contractual conditions).
Late arrivals or early departures do not give rise to any refund under any circumstances.
In case of cancellation by Hôtel Savel, except in cases of force majeure, the stay will be fully refunded. However, such cancellation will not give rise to any claim for damages.
Guests are required to comply with the guidelines set by Hôtel Savel in its house rules. Any stay implies acceptance of the specific conditions and the hotel’s house rules. In case of non-compliance, Hôtel Savel reserves the right to remove guests from the premises without any refund of booked services.
Any complaint regarding a stay must be sent by registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt within 30 days following the stay to the following address: Hôtel Savel, 38 route des Brasseries, F-07120 Ruoms.
